Your Username / user ID (seven characters@ucl.ac.uk) and password are the same as the ones you use for accessing UCL restricted web pages and Desktop@UCL. If you do not know your UCL username / user ID (example: ccxxxxx@ucl.ac.uk) you can retrieve this on the My Account website.

The web site also allows you to reset your password if you have registered for My Account. If you have not registered for My Account, please contact OneDesk IT who can advise you how to retrieve your details.

UCAS and DfE Applicants

Login using your UCL Applicant Account which is the account you set up when you first connected to Portico (using the ‘Sign up now’ link). If this is your first time logging in to Portico you can set up your UCL applicant Account by clicking the 'UCAS and DfE Applicants login' button above and using the 'Sign up now' link on the next screen.  If you have forgotten your password you can use the ‘Forgot your password’ link from that screen.

Postgraduate and Affiliate Applicants

Follow the instructions next to your method of application:

UCL's Online Application System: If you submitted your application to study via UCL's own web pages then this section is for you. Your username and password are the same ones you used for accessing the online application form. Your username is the email address you used to complete your online application. If you have forgotten your password go to the Online Application Service change password facility.
If you have not yet submitted your online application you will not be able to access Portico. To return to your application go to the Online application system, or follow the link in the email entitled UCL Online Application - Account created.

Paper Applicants: If you have submitted a paper application then these instructions are for you. Please refer to the email we sent you inviting you to access the Portal as this contains the specific personal instructions on how you should access Portico. This email will have been sent approximately 5 days after we received your paper application form. If you have forgotten your password then you will need to contact OneDesk IT to get your password reset.

Online Programmes (MBA Global): If you have applied for an online programme through our online learning webpages then these instructions are for you. Your username is the email address you used to register your application and you can set your password using the password reset facility.

Another existing relationship with UCL: Please refer to the email we sent you inviting you to access the Portal as this contains the specific personal instructions on how you should access Portico. If you have a current student, staff or external examiner Username (7 characters long) from an existing relationship with UCL then you will need to use these credentials to access Portico - see 'Staff, Students and External Examiners' instructions above.

Referees

If you have been asked to submit a reference to support a postgraduate application (Masters, PG Cert/Dip, PhD/Doctorate) at UCL - At the point you were nominated as a referee by an applicant to UCL, you will have been sent an email containing a link through which you can upload your reference directly to the relevant application. This link will expire after 30 days from date of receipt if the reference remains unsubmitted.

If your link has expired and you require a new link, please contact the applicant who nominated you as a referee directly. They will be able to send you another reference request email from their Student Portal account. This new link will also remain valid for 30 days from the date it was sent. Only the most recent link you have been sent will remain active.
